Program Approach to Learning

Our school is primarily teacher-based with certified instructors who teach engaging courses in English, Math, Science, Social Studies, Spanish, and Art. When deemed necessary, some credit-bearing courses are computer-based.

In order to graduate, each student must acquire the School District of Philadelphia’s designated 23.5 credits, complete a senior capstone course, and complete one of the 5 Act 158 pathways. Additional partnerships and particular courses offer opportunities for students to earn industry certificates and paid internships.

During their senior year, in conjunction with our Academic and Career Readiness Counselor, every student will complete a Post-Secondary Success Plan (PSSP). In addition to Act 158 requirements and the School District of Philadelphia credit requirements to graduate, the PSSP will be the foundational plan for students to follow once they graduate. This PSSP fulfills our mission of providing the foundation for our students to thrive in today’s global society.
